Hollywood Fashion

I needed something powerful, formidable and sensual that fed my insatiable appetite for fashion.  An outfit rich in appearance that outlined the message loud and clear- I have arrived.  I have been drawn to the opulence and glamour of Hollywood’s gilded age, the sheer magnitude and overwhelming air of possibility.  The possibility that a plain Jane could live the life she’s always dreamt, one where lovers’ cravings were unmatched and everyone had a piece of the pie.  Life imitates art in these cinematic reflections, the world was genuinely a different place.  A place filled with excitement and sumptuous fashions.  Designers on the cusp of a sartorial revolution used their life to create fabricated masterpieces that trickled from the European houses unto humbled streets. Everyone’s pockets were lined with gold.  A luxury I wanted to subscribe to.  And so I did with wrists and fingers splattered in metal to ring in the golden year I chose my red Miss Avenue jumpsuit because I could see it in that time; I wanted to be fiery and bold, it was the perfect option.  The jumpsuit’s silhouette and my loose Marilyn curls were directly from the Hollywood fashion era, a time where every pretty face was a star.  The jumpsuit coupled with my gold accessories and period clutch had these snapshots luxuriating in old world feel.  I went for this epoch because everything was acceptably over the top, larger than life and that’s my hearts peace.  To be larger than life!

Fun fact, Marilyn Monroe and I share the same birthday.  Leave your personal fun facts or thoughts in the comments below.

I loved this jumpsuit and thought you would too. Shop these options below.
